Gratitude Marketing

What if one small, simple, habit could change your life?

What if that habit required less than 30 minutes a day?

Well there is such a habit, and it’s called gratitude. Here’s how it works:

  1. Head to the local drugstore or card shop and purchase 21 thank you notes, or attractive blank cards along with 21 postage stamps
  2. Every morning before you start your day, write up one thank you note to anyone you like for any particular reason, and drop it in the mailbox right away
  3. Get on with the rest of your day
  4. If it changes your life and your business (which it will), repeat.

Pretty simple, right? Why is it so powerful?

Well, first of all, it can…vastly improve relationships. What if you sent a card to each of your family members to show them how much you appreciate them? Or a card a day to your spouse, each one giving them one specific reason that you love and appreciate them? If your home life is happy, you work better, attract better people around you, and you’re more productive.

It can also…improve your own emotional well-being Sometimes we get locked into a negative mindset and that creates a downward spiral. By beginning every day focusing on what we’re grateful for, we end up shifting that negative downward spiral into a positive upward spiral. Also, by giving a note of gratitude to someone else, you’ll probably really lift their spirits as well, and then when you hear about it (because chances are great that they’ll call you!) your own sense of well-being will rise yet another notch.
